Through the generous ministry of Our Lady of Lourdes parishioner Greg Repman, and a tremendous group of volunteers, approximately 80 unsheltered men and women in our local area are fed a meal and offered resources to help with life on the streets twice a week. 7,500 meals were delivered by Greg and his crew last year alone.
Each Mondays and Friday Greg and his crew pack up and head out to deliver sandwiches, soup, coats, sleeping bags and other helpful items. We invite you to help in the following ways:
Meal Preparation & Distribution
Volunteers are needed in the Parish Kitchen on Mondays and Fridays beginning at 9:15 a.m. Volunteers assemble sandwiches and pack lunches for delivery. Deliveries begin at approximately 10:30 a.m. and clean up and volunteer duties finish at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Soup Makers & Cookie Bakers
Volunteers are needed to prepare 5 gallons of soup in their homes and deliver to the Parish Kitchen in time for Monday and Friday deliveries. Volunteers are also needed to provide cookies for 80 people.
Shoppers & Inventory Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to inventory sandwich and lunch making supplies and to shop as necessary to refill the pantry. Shoppers will be reimbursed for their financial expenses.
